Who will draw first blood in tonight's mouthwatering Championship clash between Luton and Burnley? Hatters striker Elijah Adebayo is a 9/2 favourite with Sky Bet to score first. Adebayo was solid in his maiden Premier League campaign last season - registering ten goals in 27 appearances for the Hatters.
However - with Luton one of the favourites to win the Championship this season after being relegated from the English top-flight - expect Adebayo to have more opportunities in front of goal in 2024-25. Carlton Morris and Joe Taylor are the next best-backed for Luton to score first - with the pair both priced at 7/1. Meanwhile, for those anticipating the Clarets to draw first blood - Lyle Foster and Andreas Hountondji are the shortest-priced players for the visitors at 13/2 and 7/1 respectively.

Sheffield United and Burnley will require the greatest of escapes when it comes to their battle to survive the drop. The Blades are ten points off safety, and failing to beat 19th place Burnley will mean it's almost curtains time on their latest stint in the Premier League. Burnley though could close the gap to three points this weekend if they beat Luton Town, and Nottingham Forest lose to fellow relegation rivals Everton.

After the government left him raging at the end of Burnley's last-gasp loss at Aston Villa, Vincent Kompany joked he needed an ice bath to cool down. Sander Berge, who was sent early in the second half, and Villa's late penalty, which Douglas Luiz won the game, made the Burnley boss furious. He was also angry that Diego Carlos was not punished for handling the ball during a duel with Lyle Foster close to the edge of Villa's box. Today, Kompany said, 'My knowledge of certain situations in a game was tested.' The ice bath wasn't quite enough, but I'll have to get past it by Sunday. I've always thought of England as a nation of common sense.
