After a $8.5 billion MGM contract, Netflix's Wednesday could rise to rival Amazon ahead of season two renewal

Question: How Tall Is "Wednesday" Star Gwendoline Christie?Answer: Very

www.popsugar.co.uk, December 21, 2022
Gwendoline Christie has always been a strong, striking presence on film. Larissa Weems, the principal of Nevermore Academy, where Ortega's titular heroine goes to school, appeared on Netflix's "Wednesday" as her principal. Lucifer appeared on the streaminger's "The Sandman" series this summer, which was revived this fall. Fans, of course, fell in love with her on "Game of Thrones" as the world's best knight, Ser Brienne of Tarth's finest knight, and she brought her sword-fighting skills to outer space, where she starred Captain Phasma. And although her acting chops are top-notch, there is another reason Christie has such a large presence in everything she does: her height. How tall is Christie? In the metric system, the 44-year-old actor clocks in at 6'3" (191 centimeters). Luis Guzmán is 5'1" and Catherine Zeta-Jones is 5'7" and her "Wednesday" costars really help emphasize her height: Ortega and Christina Ricci are both 5'1"; her "Wednesday" costars help emphasize her height: she's height, as well: Luis Guzmán and Christina Ricci are both 5'5". She's also a bit taller than her "Sandman" costar Tom Sturridge, 5'10," and her frequent Star Wars scene companions John Boyega and Oscar Issac, who are both 5'9. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's "Game of Thrones" costar Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is much closer to her height at 6'2" — but that's before Christie adds heels, which she often wears. Giles Deacon, Christie's partner, is also shorter than her when she wears heels.

In "Wednesday"'s Season 1 Blooper Reel, Jenna Ortega Breaks Character

www.popsugar.co.uk, December 13, 2022
Jenna Ortega's eerie "Wednesday" persona is unbreakable — well almost. On Wednesday, Netflix unveiled a one-blooper reel starring Ortega, Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán), Morticia Addams (Emma Myers), Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), and more as they crack smiled and announced that even on the set of morbid shows like "Wednesday," there's always room for a little fun. The filming took place in Bucharest, Romania, giving a haunting backdrop for Nevermore Academy and a few unexpected challenges for the actors off screen. Ortega mullifies it "if you growl at it hard enough," she says as she jokingly grimaces at the sound of an aeroplane flying overhead, one of many plane-related interruptions the cast endured while filming. When cast members break or stumble during a scene, they unleash their inner monsters and growl in agony, an old Addams family tradition.

Thing, Netflix's Addams family spinoff, would have you delving in love with him. Dares JACI STEPHEN

STEPHHEN: In the first Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear was to Woody, the hero who saves the day. When the rest of the world conspires against you, Thing is your favorite pet, your play buddy, and your savior, and the Thing will be with you no matter what. I predict an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Dorobantu - don't you just want to see that hand pick up an award? Perhaps the awards ceremonies could take one step further and have Thing onstage with the hosts, who would be interpreting what they say about the signing. The warning at the top of each episode warns 'Language, violence, and threat,' so watch it for the characterization, the plot, the humour, the stunning cinematography, and the remarkable special effects.' But for the Best Actor performance by Dorobantu, stay tuned. To Netflix, you'll have to give it. Literally speaking.
