Nearly 30 years since the original film, a sequel to the 1993 drama The Joy Luck Club is still in production. According to Deadline, novel writer Amy Tan is back along with the original film's screenwriter Ron Bass for the sequel. Ming-Na Wen, Tamlyn Tomita, Rosalind Chao, and Lisa Lu are among the original cast members of the sequel who are in talks to reprise their roles.
