Doug Ingle, the original lead singer of the rock band Iron Butterfly, has died at the age of 78. The Omaha, Nebraska native was the last surviving member of the classic Iron Butterfly lineup that performed on their second studio album, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida album (1968).  'It's with a heavy heart & great sadness to announce the passing of my Father Doug Ingle. Dad passed away peacefully [Friday] evening [May 24] in the presence of family,' his son, Doug Ingle Jr., wrote in a Facebook post, as reported by Deadline.
