Liam Hemsworth didn't have to force a connection with his Lonely Planet onscreen leading lady Laura Dern who, at 57, is 23 years older than him. '[We] didn't know each other beforehand,' the 6ft3in Australian heartthrob admitted to People on Wednesday. 'It was weird. It felt like we'd known each other for a long time, and there was this instant trust there, and connection. And as we worked together, that just grew and evolved.'

Reese Witherspoon teased that she is working with one of Bravo's The Real Housewives franchise stars on an upcoming project.  The star, 48, walked the red carpet at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards at Peacock Theatre on Sunday, and spoke with E! News' Heather McMahan about her new project. McMahan asked the Legally Blonde star - who was joined by Big Little Lies co-star Laura Dern, 57 - if she had been watching any reality TV. While speaking about The Real Housewives, Reese said, 'I feel like I can't catch up.'

Iconic film director David Lynch revealed that he can no longer be at the helm in person  as he is homebound due to emphysema just days after Laura Dern revealed she was forced to drop out of UCLA after landing a role in his film Blue Velvet. The 78-year-old filmmaker candidly admitted that he is unsure if he will ever direct again after being diagnosed with the lung disease that causes breathlessness. He admitted in a recent interview with Sight & Sound that he got the disease 'for smoking so long'. Lynch said: 'I'm homebound whether I like it or not. I can't go out. And I can only walk a short distance before I'm out of oxygen.'

Riley Keough and Lily Gladstone attempt to solve a murder in the chilling, new trailer for Hulu's forthcoming drama Under The Bridge, which is based on true events. In the eight-episode film, Daisy Jones & The Six actress, 34, who was recently cast in a Netflix film with Laura Dern and Adam Sandler, took on a leading role alongside the Killers Of The Flower Moon actor, 37. The series is based on the book of the same name written by Rebecca Godfrey, with Keough playing the author and Gladstone playing a police officer named Cam Bentland.
