A boxing matchmaker, who has worked with multiple world Champions, has urged Tim Tszyu to retire in order to protect his health, after the Australian star was demolished over three rounds by Bakhram Murtazaliev on Sunday night. The 29-year-old fighter has now lost back-to-back fights with questions now hanging over his next career move. Tsyu had been beaten by Sebastian Fundora in March and returned to face off against Murtazaliev for the IBF super welterweight belts in Florida.

Earnie Shavers, a man who became well-known as one of the world's worst punchers and fought in the 1970s, died on Thursday, just one day after turning 78. A cause of death has yet to be identified. Shavers served primarily in the 1970s, but his career spanned the 1990s. He ended his career with a record of 74-14-1 and 68 knockouts. Shavers has fought twice in his career, first against Muhammad Ali in 1977 and then against Larry Holmes two years later.
