A list of free speech rankings at American universities of higher education is published every year by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression. The Ivy League school, which has never been on FIRE's list, was named as a "abysmal" location for free expression this year. Despite being arguably the country's single-most prestigious academic institution and perhaps the world, Harvard's 0-point ranking was well below the next best school on the list, according to fellow Ivy League institution The University of Pennsylvania.
