Chelsea have confirmed Joao Felix will re-join the club on a permanenet basis from Atletico Madrid for a fee of £42.7million. The Portuguese forward becomes the ninth signing of the Enzo Maresca era and has agreed a six-year contact, with the option of a further 12 months. Felix arrives in west London following the departure of Conor Gallagher, who goes in the opposite direction for £34m.

Anselmino, 19, signed from Boca Juniors in Argentina for a transfer fee in the region of £15million before immediately returning to his former club on loan. Some big names have been left out of Chelsea's US pre-season tour, with uncertainty over the futures of six players in particular. The club have named a 28-man squad that will fly out to the United States, with their first game against Wrexham in California on Wednesday. Enzo Maresca's side will then go on to face Celtic, Club America, Premier League rivals Manchester City, before concluding the tour with a game against Real Madrid in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 7.
