Crazy Rich Asians is heading to Broadway with the film's director Jon M. Chu set to helm the musical production. On Wednesday, it was announced the comedy based on the trilogy of books by Kevin Kwan and the popular 2018 movie of the same name would be heading to the Great White Way. Chu will be making his Broadway debut with the production. He is best-known for directing In the Heights and the upcoming Wicked starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Shmigadoon writer Leah Nanako Winkler will adapt the story for Broadway while KPOP composer Helen Park will write the music. No casting, production or release dates have been mentioned for what is sure to become a hot ticket.
