Career
Ali was a member of a club called Psycho Drama, which she joined when she was 16 years old. Russell Cross of the band The Lumieres invited her to join his band (as their songwriter, singer, and lead guitarist). "Cinder Hearts" was the Lumieres' only major hit.
She appeared in both the songs and the music videos for the album Becoming X, and the group was on display throughout the day (the group gained a following after the introduction of the hit single "6 Underground" was included). Ali was fired from the company in 1998 when they decided to do vocals for their own songs.
Since leaving Sneaker Pimps, she went on to a solo career under the name Kelli Ali after her father, who died before the introduction of Becoming X, was released. Tigermouth, her first solo album, was released in 2003. It includes tracks "Sunlight in the Rain" and "Kids," as well as ex-Doors drummer John Densmore. In 2003, she toured with Garbage and released Psychic Cat, a sequel-up album, in mid-2004. The second album was more of a return to Ali's rock and roll roots, with singer-turned-author Tony O'Neill on keyboards.
She travelled to Japan in April 2006 to record and write tracks with Hoshino Hidehiko from Buck-Tick and Cube Juice's band Dropz. Paul Oakenfold, a producer from Kelli Ali, recorded "Faster Kill Pussycat" with actress Brittany Murphy last year. It's Murphy's only single appearance.
Ali's third solo album, Rocking Horse, was released on November 24, 2008. Max Richter (Fat Cat Records) recorded the album in Glasgow and Edinburgh in the first half of 2008. Butterfly was released by her in 2009 when she first discovered the song on the Internet. In 2013, Ali's Band of Angels was released, her 5th album. She has performed with the Cult Without A Name, a British band that has performed in the United Kingdom.

Ali released "Sadistic," a stand-alone single as post-production work on the film continued into 2019. It's a project with producer Satoshi Tomiie that was shot during the Ghostdriver sessions. It includes Liam Howe's latest mix and production. In December 2019, there was a limited edition, deluxe Lipstick USB set, and a new music video.
