As umpires decided whether or not to postpone Tuesday's game against the visiting Detroit Tigers, Cohen, the Mets first baseman, 1979 National League MVP and fellow announcer Keith Hernandez, was instructing his fans to go get some food. While the SNY cameras remained fixed on their faces, both Cohen and Hernandez sat with frozen expressions on their faces. As the station used a sarcastic graphic during a game to troll the Mets legend, NBC Sports Philadelphia has retaliated for Keith Hernandez's previous anti-Phillies remarks. Hernandez fired the Phillies earlier this month, saying that their defensive fundamentals are not up to it' as a franchise and that he'd begged his managers at SNY's local station to not attend games against the Mets' NL East rival.
