She is best known for her modelling as a plus-size model in numerous fashion journals, appeared in cosmetics, plus-size, and designer campaigns.
She has also worked with top photographers on campaigns and in editorials, and has appeared in several mass media publications.

Early life
Kate Dillon was born in Washington, D.C., on March 2, 1974, to Tom Dillon, a scientist, and Carol Dillon, a school teacher. Dan is her older brother. When Dillon was ten years old, his family moved to San Diego. Dillon was compared to peers in adolescence due to her height. Dillon's obsession with age 12 prompted her to lose an unhealthy amount of weight and sparked an eating disorder that lasted seven years. Dillon graduated from La Jolla Country Day School and was accepted into the University of California, Berkeley. Dillon, rather than attending college, decided to model full-time after graduating high school.
Education
At the age of 28, Dillon enrolled in the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, and obtained a degree in political science. She later attended the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and obtained a Master's Degree in Public Administration and International Development. Dillon co-authored a prize-winning dissertation and was given a Dean's Award for teaching statistics.
Personal life
Dillon was married to real estate investor Gabe Levin from 2008-2014. Lucas, their son, was born in 2010.
