From their bizarre belief that Jesus Christ visited the Native Americans to their well-known fondness for polygamy, Mormons haven't always made it easy for others to warm to them. Women like Taylor Frankie Paul, therefore, must have seemed like a godsend to the eccentric American sect. Young, perky and wholesome, she lived in a mansion in Utah 's Salt Lake City with her equally photogenic husband Tate and their three adorable children. The videos Taylor relentlessly posted online - showing the family getting dressed for church, washing up dozens of baby-feeding bottles or dancing around her spacious home -- made the life of a conventional young Mormon woman (who generally marry young and rear large families) fascinating to millions.

Celeste Burgess, 19, a 19-year-old girl, cried in jail after being sentenced to the cells in handcuffs for removing, concealing, and abandoning a dead body. She pleaded guilty at the Madison County District Court in May. On Thursday, she was sentenced to 90 days in prison for the unlawful late-term abortion. Jessica Burgess, the woman's mother, was reportedly aided by the teen, who was then 17, to abort the baby almost six months into her pregnancy, and the 42-year-old has since been charged with felony offences. Celeste was at least 23 weeks pregnant when she took an abortion pill to cause a stillbirth in April last year, when the legal limit for abortion in Nebraska was reduced to 12 weeks. According to News Channel Nebraska, the teen's medical records showed she was 23 weeks pregnant at the time, with a due date of July 3. Tanner Barnhill, 22, was charged with assisting the pair in removing the fetus. Officials also discovered Facebook messages between the mother-daughter pair in which they were discussing abortion pills during their investigation.

The teen's at-home abortion conversation between a Nebraska mother and her 17-year-old daughter became a focus on Facebook. According to legal records, Meta, the social media behemoth, turned over the direct messages as part of an investigation into the teen's unlawful abortion. Following police reports that Jessica Burgess obtained and gave abortion pills to her daughter, Celeste Burgess, the probe was launched in April, before the Supreme Court reversed Roe vs. Wade. Celeste was pregnant for 23 weeks, a violation of state law. The mother-daughter pair allegedly burned the fetus and buried it. Meta'regularly turns over user information that has been requested by US law enforcement,' according to legal experts, who also stated that this activity was 'not unusual.' "Nothing in the valid warrants received by local law enforcement mentioned abortion," Facebook says, instead, officials were investigating the "case of a stillborn baby who was burned and buried." The litigation highlights pro-choice campaigners' concerns over the use of social media to sue women who want abortions in the aftermath of the Roe decision.
