Sir Rod Stewart has been forced to cancel a further two shows after being struck down with another health battle. In a statement shared to his Instagram on Friday night, the rocker, 79, informed his fans he would be missing a planned gig that night and another on Saturday after testing positive for Covid-19. The news comes days after Rod was forced to cancel his historic 200th Las Vegas show on Wednesday due to suffering from strep throat.

The singer, 79, was due to bring his show to a close on Wednesday after performing at the venue across the last 13 years. Rod told his 1.4million Instagram followers: 'I'm desperately sorry to miss this 200th show celebration.
