Yesterday was graduation day of sorts for the Republic of Ireland, an afternoon of pass marks for Wales, and another learning experience for the Scots. The Victory Shield was settled early doors, as they do not say in the corridors of academe. The Republic of Ireland won it by beating Northern Ireland in the first match of the day at Broadwood. Every player and coach has been offered lessons all week, however.
