According to The Kennel Club, there has been a 40 percent increase in the number of puppy registrations of the pint-sized breed in the last year. King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla are parents to two Jack Russell Terriers, Bluebell and Beth, who were rehomed from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in 2017. They are the youngest canine residents of the palace since the monarch took the throne and may have contributed to the breed's revival before the coronation.

Pialligo Estate, a Canberra suburb, will close after ten years, with owner John Russell stating that the firm has'finally succumbed'. Mr Russell said that interest rate hikes had exacerbated the popular wedding venue and restaurant's financial challenges. Two fires destroyed it in 2016 and 2017, which also devastated its smokehouse and restaurant. Mr Russell said in an online message that it never recovered from the two fires.
