Ms Fajri started her role at the firm, which involved the facilitation of trade between different clients such as banks or hedge funds, back in 2020. But she was diagnosed with breast cancer the following year and underwent a course of chemotherapy as well as surgery in the summer of 2022. In November that year, CEO John Meadows sent her a message on WhatsApp asking her what her 'plans' were.
The following month, he told her that her pay would be 'significantly reduced', while the company's HR informed her she would not be paid until she returned to work. Ms Fajri sued for disability discrimination and has now been awarded £14,858.55 in compensation following an employment tribunal in central London.

John Meadows, of Verney Crescent in Allerton, was charged with murder on Monday at Douglas Courthouse. No application was made for bail, and he was delayed until his next court appearance on April 9. Jillian's friends, who was on holiday at the time, have paid tribute to a 'amazing' mother and a 'beautiful' woman. One friend said: 'How can this even be real?
