A farmer who tragically killed a walker has said he had 'no alternative' but to hold them in a field with a footpath running through it. Michael Holmes, 57, was trampled to death by the cows, while his wife Teresa Holmes was left in a wheelchair after the tragic event on September 29, 2020. During a Covid-19 lockdown, the couple were on a lunchtime walk with their two dogs on leads when they crossed a field at Hollinghurst Farm in Netherton, West Yorkshire.
