The Mail has learned that it is one of seven such shirts produced for Firth for the filming of his smouldering post-swim encounter with Jennifer Ehle's Elizabeth Bennet in the hit series. He is said to have wore each of them at some point during filming. Multiple iterations of the shirt were produced as it was worn in wet and dry scenes, as well as in the case of re-takes, according to Cosprop's general manager Chris Garlick.
