Myleene Klass, Carol Vorderman and Anita Rani brought the glamour to the Sky Arts Awards in London on Tuesday night.  The ceremony, hosted by comedian Joe Lycett, saw a number of television personalities hit the pink carpet at The Roundhouse.  Myleene, 46, looked incredible in a bronze sequin disc corset dress which showed off her legs thanks to its sheer floor-length skirt, while Carol, 63, showed off her hourglass figure in a slinky gold dress and leopard print heels. 

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Babatunde Aléshé has been revealed as the Head Judge of this year's BBC New Comedy Awards. The comedian, 37, who featured in the 2022 instalment of the ITV1 jungle series, will run the rule over up-and-coming acts during the nationwide talent search in a bid to find the best new comedy star the UK has to offer. Now in its 29th year, the BBC New Comedy Awards has helped launch the careers of comedians including Peter Kay, Lee Mack, Russell Howard, Alan Carr, Sarah Millican and Joe Lycett.

The 2024 BAFTA TV Awards saw a slew of stars awarded with prestigious prizes at The Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday night. But the ceremony itself failed to come out on top in the battle of the ratings, as it was only the fifth most watched programme of the night. According to overnight reports, the star-studded show - which aired on BBC One - had an average audience of 2.6 million and peaked slightly higher, at 3 million - the lowest in two years.

The comedian stepped onto the red carpet wearing a flowing silver cape, which resembled a gown, and high ruff around his neck as he confessed he felt like an 'oven-baked salmon' while sweating in the heat.  The unique choice of evening wear was the result of Joe losing a bet he had made with his aunts, Margaret and Pauline.

One unlucky audience member at the BAFTA Television Awards 2024 had the fun of sitting behind Joe Lycett on Sunday night. The TV presenter arrived at the star-studded ceremony in a dramatic Queen Elizabeth I costume, with a towering high ruff around his neck. But his outfit meant the person sat behind him had a tough time seeing the stage due to his ridiculously large garment.

The pins were launched by Artists4Ceasefire, a group of people within the entertainment industry, and are a symbol that is seen as calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. A-list celebrities were slammed by Israeli figures in March for wearing the red pins at the Oscars, as they say the image hearkens back to the 2000 Ramallah lynching of two Jewish men. Mr Cox, who starred as Logan Roy in Succession, attended the Baftas alongside his actress wife Nicole Ansari-Cox who was also seen wearing a red pin.

Ant McPartlin was spotted looking solemn as he headed home from the BAFTA TV Awards at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday evening. The TV presenter, 48, has received 19 BAFTA TV Awards for his various entertainment shows with his showbiz counterpart Declan Donnelly over the years. However, Ant left the evening empty handed this year after comedian Joe Lycett was awarded the Best Entertainment Performance gong for his show Late Night Lycett.

Amber Rose Gill effortlessly turned heads in a revealing dress while heading to the BAFTA Television Awards in London on Sunday. The former Love Islander, 26, displayed her incredible physique as she slipped into a black see-through lace maxi dress which hugged her curves. The very racy number left little to the imagination, as she flashed matching black underwear and bandeau.The TV personality exuded style in the floral number which she paired with fingerless opera gloves.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 37, put on a very leggy display in a satin olive green gown with a daring thigh-high split.

The BAFTA Television Awards 2024 returns on Sunday to celebrate another year of impeccable British TV. Leading the pack in terms of nominations is streaming giant Netflix after its programmes The Crown and Black Mirror received the most nods.  The Crown is nominated for an impressive eight awards while Demon 79 - the fifth episode of Black Mirror's sixth season - follows close behind with seven.

The 35-year-old comic says the false Dorothy was one of a number of untrue tales he managed to sneak into several established media outlets in recent weeks. Speculation about the authorship of the piece - which appeared to mimic Banksy's style of integrating their artwork into the surrounding environment - even forced the artist's spokesperson to issue a blunt denial they were responsible. Lycett revealed his trickery on his new series of Late Night Lycett on Channel 4 on Friday night. He said he planted the Banksy story, as well as three other fake new stories, to take up space in the media that would otherwise have been used to 'spread hate, misery and pictures of Amanda Holden '.

Joe Lycett revealed he is in a new relationship as he opened up about his sexuality during a new series of Late Night Lycett on Channel 4.  In the past, the comedian, 35, has admitted he tends to not put enough effort into his love life due to his busy work schedule.  However, during the new series which began on Friday, he revealed to viewers he now has a mystery girlfriend -  after previously telling Attitude magazine his idea of a perfect partner would be 'someone to lie there with eating chocolate. That's the dream.' 

Kate Garraway tripped over during a chaotic skit Late Night Lycett on Friday when as Danny Dyer pretended to hit a member of the audience.  The broadcaster, 56, broke out into fits of laughter after suffering a fall before being dragged up by the EastEnders star, 46.  After being introduced by host Joe Lycett, 35, Kate and Danny, 46, walked hand-in-hand through the crowd. 

Susie Dent, 59, told The Where There's A Will, There's A Wake podcast how she wishes for her coffin to be carried by comedians from Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats. 'The only drawback in this case is that I would very like to be buried with all 20 volumes of the Oxford English Dictionary,' she said, so it might be a bit of a challenge.' I thought it would be some of the comedians - several of the comedians from 8 out of ten Cats are from the United States.' Since winning eight nominations for the TV BAFTAs, the Crown viewers have been left confused as they brand the sixth series'mediocre.' On Tuesday, the TV BAFTA nominations were revealed ahead of the ceremony on May 12, with The Crown leading the way with the most nods in total. However, royal drama commentators have argued that the nods were undeserved as they say he has'fallen downhill' and has become a "snooze fest."

As part of the government's initiative to install hundreds of new bathing water sites, swaths of river across England will be designated as swimming spots. According to the statistics, a total of 27 new bathing sites will be identified under the scheme, many of which are in rivers and lakes, greatly raising the number of such official inland swimming locations. Officials said that if selected, the sites would be subjected to regular water inspection by the Environment Agency, which will look at environmental sources and identify remediation steps taken in response. People would be able to see if it was safe to swim in the waters, which include popular 'wild swimming' spots. Last year, the Environment Department (Defra) said that 96 percent of bathing waters in England met minimum annual requirements, and 90 percent were rated as 'good' or 'excellent.'

On Wednesday morning, BBC Radio 1 listeners were left coughing on their cornflakes as sex sounds were blaming out on the airwaves. When Greg James received a call from a listener named Lewis, they were joined by comedian Joe Lycett for his Breakfast show. Following a brief period of silence, the dead air was then filled by the listener loudly playing the sounds of a sex tape, causing Greg to say: 'Oh, ok!' as he ended the call.

Heavyweight politicians and media stars are more often than not invited to answer questions from the audience on current affairs. However, the broadcaster's decision to include more celebrities in their news and political shows has come under fire, with one viewer on X, formerly Twitter, accusing the BBC of'reaching a new low of dumbing down.' Although the 50-year-old comedian's appearance on Question Time was branded 'bizarre,' he wasn't the only popular celebrity to grace the show - Love Island's Amy Hart's appearance on the program also sparked a stir online. In the meantime, Laura Kuenssberg's first Sunday show came under fire for booking comedian Joe Lycett and University Challenge viewers, who claimed that the BBC2 academic quiz was getting too easy. Mastermind supporters have also stated that the show's questions were 'everything.' Serious contestants who appeared on The Apprentice's pages have been replaced by glamorous, fame-hungry wannabe influencers trying to increase their Instagram followers.
