At the press conference, the two traded verbal blows, with the American mocking his opponent's height. There was a palpable tension in the air in Abu Dhabi's arena when it came time for the face-offs. Before the Russians decided to violently shove him backwards with both hands, O'Malley loomed over Yan and leaned in. Following a bizarre meeting last year between Jeremy Stephens and Drakkar Klose, the UFC is trying to prevent such clashes.
