In their 2013 film This Is the End, Jay Baruchel confessed that his character's onscreen dislike of Jonah Hill was grounded in truth. In a resurfaced May 2023 interview on The Daily Beast's podcast The Last Laugh, the actor, 41, talked about not getting along with Jonah, 39. 'Jonah and I don't get along well, or at least didn't back then,' Baruchel said of their relationship filming the apocalyptic comedy.

The cast is starting to come together just three months after the live-action version of How to Train Your Dragon was announced. Via The Hollywood Reporter, Mason Thames (The Black Phone) and Nico Parker (The Last of Us) have signed up to play Hiccup and Astrid. In the animated trilogy How to Train Your Dragon (2010), How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014), and How to Train Your Dragon (2019), Jay Baruchel and America Ferrera lent their voices to Hiccup and Astrid.

BlackBerry's official trailer about its meteoric rise and fall has been posted. Glenn Howerton of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Jay Baruchel lead the dramedy. Dougals Fregin, who cofounded the firm with Mike Lazaridis (played by Baruchel), is played by Matt Johnson. The tale chronicles their marriage, the introduction of the first Blackberry, court disputes, and the smartphone giant's loss of control over the smartphone market to Apple and Samsung.
