OJ Simpson 's shock tribute at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday has been slammed by the families of murder victims Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. Simpson - who became one of the most infamous figures in America after he was charged with the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Brown and her friend  Goldman - and later acquitted in the trial of the century - appeared on screen as part of the show's In Memoriam segment.

OJ Simpson's final days were spent drinking beer on his couch in his gated Las Vegas community before he took a sudden turn for the worst after Easter, leaving him only able to ask for water and watch his beloved golf on TV. Simpson died last Thursday at the age of 76 following a battle with prostate cancer. His remains were cremated Tuesday in a private ceremony. It was earlier reported that the prime suspect in the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman made friends and family sign non-disclosure agreements before visiting him at home over the past few weeks.
