BBC bosses 'pulled the plug' on the Strictly Come Dancing professionals tour in an attempt to rebuild the beleaguered brand after allegations of behind-the-scenes bullying led to an ongoing misconduct probe, sources claim. The popular tour is understood to be on hold until 2026, with producers apparently concerned by the work hard, play hard ethos employed by the professionals between shows. The move, which is yet to be officially announced, comes as the BBC prepares to release the findings of a £250,000 investigation into workplace misconduct.

The results of the the £250,000 investigation are set to be released just days before the 20th anniversary series is due to start.  And now a source who worked on the live stage productions has revealed to The Sun that the tour was cancelled after the allegations, which include workplace bullying.

Strictly Come Dancing have revealed the first look at Amy Dowden's momentous return to the dancefloor. The dancer, 34, has been absent from the show - which she first joined in 2017 - after being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May 2023. In what became the toughest year of her life, Amy underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy, fertility treatment and also almost died of sepsis, with her cancer journey documented in a recent documentary.
