The domestic abuse victims let down by police: Holly Bramley reported her husband to police when he tortured and killed her beloved pets...but he was let free to murder her as campaigners slam forces for failing women

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 9, 2024
Domestic abuse victim Holly Bramley who was cut into 224 pieces by her husband has joined the heartbreaking roll call of women let down by authorities. Holly Bramley was fatally wounded by Nicholas Metson before the 'evil monster' cut her body into more than 200 pieces and dumped her remains in a 'bag for life' in a river. Yesterday, the 28-year-old, who killed Ms Bramley's rabbits and dog before butchering his wife, was told he would service a minimum of 19 years and 316 days behind bars before being considered for parole. Her family spoke after the hearing to encourage other victims of domestic abuse to 'seek support and tell someone' as they paid an emotional tribute. They added: 'Let's make Domestic Abuse everyone's business, for Holly's sake'. Campaign groups have now spoken out to slam police forces for continually failing women suffering at the hands of their abusive partners.
