Joy tells the remarkable true story behind Louise's birth in 1978 and the tireless 10-year journey to make it possible. The film follows a young nurse, a visionary scientist and an innovative surgeon - played by Thomasin McKenzie, James Norton and Bill Nighy respectively -  as they battle hostility to make the medical breakthrough. Louise was the first IVF baby born at Oldham General Hospital in 1978 and stepping out for the gala at The Royal Festival Hall, on Tuesday, she looked glamorous in a chiffon grey gown. She paired the elegant dress, which was complete with silver sequin detailing, with a silver short-sleeved shawl and wore her bright blonde locks down in natural waves.

James Norton received a hilarious surprise from his co-star Thomasin McKenzie as they joined a slew of stars at the headline gala screening of their film Joy on Tuesday. Taking to the red carpet at the BFI London Film Festival, the actor was blissfully unaware as Thomasin photobombed his snaps while posing at the premiere. James opted for a relaxed mustard yellow suit as he arrived for the event, while Thomasin stunned in an elegant floral strapless gown.

The Happy Valley actor, 39, who usually sports light brown curly hair, commanded attention at the event as he stepped out with jet-black hair styled into a splitting bowl cut.

Netflix has announced who will join James Norton in the cast of the hotly anticipated show, The House Of Guinness. James Norton got into character as he viciously kicked a co-star as he was seen filming The House Of Guinness for the first time on Monday in Liverpool.  The Happy Valley actor, 39, looked to be playing a villain character in the new Netflix series as he filmed scenes in the street. James Norton was hailed 'a true inspiration' as he educated children about living with diabetes in a CBeebies Bedtime Story, which aired on Friday.  The Happy Valley star, 38, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes aged 22,  read the book How to Manage a Mammoth by Dr Rose Stewart to help families explore what it's like living with it. James lived up to his heartthrob status as he read allowed to viewers, joined by his teddy bear who wore a glucose monitor.

The 2024 BAFTA TV Awards saw a slew of stars awarded with prestigious prizes at The Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday night. But the ceremony itself failed to come out on top in the battle of the ratings, as it was only the fifth most watched programme of the night. According to overnight reports, the star-studded show - which aired on BBC One - had an average audience of 2.6 million and peaked slightly higher, at 3 million - the lowest in two years.
