During an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the actor revealed his inactivity as a performer, which may have resulted in him losing his health insurance due in large part to the COVID-19 pandemic. He confessed to how worried he was when he learned that the shooting for Everything Everywhere, At Once, was postponed for eight months, despite Corden's discussion. And then, when filming was complete, Quan faced the challenge of finding another acting gig, because studios were still not operating fully due to all the new health laws and regulations. During the pandemic, the actor shared how he was doing well and 'at home trying to stay safe like everyone else.'
