One of the UFC's most colourful characters, Jamahal Hill, will have the eyes of the world on him this Saturday night. UFC 300, the tricentennial anniversary, is a landmark in the MMA promotion's history and few would have predicted Hill to be one half of the main event against fearsome champion Alex Pereira.  The 32-year-old American is immensely talented inside the cage, of that there's no doubt, but of late it has been his life away from the cage that draws attention to him. Hill juggles the demands of being a professional athlete at the top of his game with an incredibly busy family life. 

According to a possible cause affidavit arising from the MMA star's recent detention in Michigan, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill's suspected assault on his brother was so brutal that he knocked out his sibling's tooth. According to TMZ, James Hill Jr.m, the suspected perpetrator, told investigators at a Kentwood, Michigan hospital that Jamahal assaulted him on November 25. According to reports, the UFC fighter knocked down his brother twice, each time using only a single punch, and when the fight was over, James was missing a tooth and had a swollen' left eye. Last week, the 32-year-old was charged with one count of misdemeanor aggravated assault. Officials charge that he assaulted his brother James Anthony Hill Jr. and inflicted'serious or aggravated injury on him,' according to legal records.' Jamahal, a UFC lightweight champion who had been holding the title for less than six months before vacating it due to injury in July, was arrested at a Kent County jail about 1 a.m. local time on November 27 and released later that evening at 7:35 p.m. local time.

Jamahal Hill, the former UFC lightweight champion, was arrested in Michigan this week for reportedly assaulting his brother. According to TMZ Sports, the 32-year-old was charged with one count of misdemeanor that escalated domestic violence on Monday.
