JON WEST AT CARROW ROAD: Russell Martin was convinced Jack Stacey should have been sent off as Southampton's undefeated run continued, but they were unable to defeat a Norwich team that was not there for the takings. Saints have now not lost in 18 Championship outings, one shy of beating a club record dating back to 1921's Division Three South, but the Saints were unable to capitalize on second-place Ipswich's 0-0 draw at Stoke. Josh Sargent's City equalizer put Martin's side three points behind the Tractor Boys, but it might have been different if Canaries defender Stacey saw red rather than yellow for a poor call on Samuel Edozie in the 23rd minute.

NORWICH 3-1 MILLWALL: Gary Rowett retaliated in the Millwall supporters' 'hurtful' chanting, which had demanded that his four-year tenure as boss come to an end. Norwich defeated the Lions for the third time in a row. More than 1700 people chanted that Rowett's football was "sh**," as the Norwich fans who predicted he'd be "sacked in the morning" declared them to be "out" themselves. Rowett almost led the Lions to the play-offs last season, when a 3-1 lead at home against Blackburn was turned into a 4-3 loss, but whatever goodwill remained after that appears to have drained.

Lerma is one of four first-team players not to extend their stay at Vitality Stadium, with the feisty midfielder instead joining Crystal Palace on a three-year contract. Junior Stanislas, Jack Stacey, and Jordan Zemura will all be able to move forward at the end of the month as Gary O'Neil continues to reshape his squad ahead of next season. In total, nine researchers and two scholars will leave the south coast region. Lerma was supposed to leave early in the campaign after he washesitating over new terms, and Palace swept the competition for his signature. Stanislas has also followed him through the exit door after just shy of a decade.
Willy Gnonto, a teen, had a slow start to Leeds, but now he is aiming for his first action

Willy Gnonto was 15 yards outside his own box when the ball struck him at Elland Road in the 84th minute on Saturday. As Bournemouth pushed for a late winner with the scores level at 3-3, Leeds skipper Liam Cooper made Lewis Cook's free kick clear, and Gnonto was gone. On his homecoming and 19th birthday, the young Italian international had no hesitations. Gnonto accelerated to halfway as it went. Marcos Senesi attempted to shoot him in the back, but the 5ft 5in forward had the flexibility and low center of gravity to remain on his feet as he approached the Bournemouth goal. He cruised past Jack Stacey and noticed Crysencio Summerville's ascension into the penalty area.

The Premier League returned on Friday to offer fans with a marginally reduced schedule this weekend, sandwiched between last weekend's uprising and the forthcoming international break. With that in mind, Sportsmail has analyzed all of the key talking points from the top flight this weekend, summarising ten lessons we learned from the seven fixtures.
