ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS: On the back of Harry Nilsson's 1974 album Pussy Cats, there is an unsubtle photo. The album was produced by John Lennon, with whom Nilsson had a hedonistic union; partying, carousing, and being kicked out of LA clubs for bad conduct. The pair were depicted as dolls in a doll's house on the album cover. A children's wooden block on either side of the rug, one with a 'D' on it and the other with a 'S', spelling out 'D - rug - S'.

May Pang, John Lennon's mistress, lifts the lid on her eldest Yoko Ono's last meeting

May Pang, John Lennon's widow, has revealed the last meeting she had with his widow, Yoko Ono, after the couple's former assistant enjoyed an 18-month affair with the late Beatle. On Wednesday evening, the 72-year-old said that she had only had one tense conversation with her former employer after Lennon was tragically killed in New York City in December 1980. Pang told supporters after a screening of the film at the Angelika Film Center in New York that the outspoken feminist had rejected her attempts to connect with Ono. It comes as Ono and Lennon's former live-in assistant has written down the full story of her affair with the legendary British singer in her latest film, The Lost Weekend: A Love Story. The music producer dispels the belief that Ono had influence over the affair, while simultaneously claiming that the Beatle icon had a sexual relationship with her right until his death in 1980. Pang, who was still only 23, had been working as the couple's personal secretary before she collapsed head over heels with Lennon. They travelled to Los Angeles for a weekend, but they later spent a long time there hanging out with other rock stars, such as Harry Nilsson, Ringo Starr, and Mick Jagger. In 1974, the eccentric couple married in New York and continued to enjoy life on both coasts. Ono won Lennon back, causing heartbreak for the young Pang.
