Once the low-point of the NFL's weekly schedule, Thursday Night Football is enjoying a dramatic improvement thanks to some marquee matchups. Dallas' 20-15 victory over the New York Giants on Thursday night averaged 16.22 million viewers, according to Nielsen, making it the most-streamed NFL regular-season game in history and Amazon Prime Video's most-watched game since exclusively taking over the prime-time package in 2022. The Nielsen figures are early numbers from its ratings panel. More comprehensive figures, which measure set-top boxes, smart TVs and other streaming platforms, will be released Monday. The two highest-streamed regular-season games have involved the Cowboys. The previous mark was 15.26 million for the Cowboys' 41-35 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on November 30, 2023, which was also a Prime Video Thursday night game.

The Vikings defeated the Raiders in an extremely low-scoring game on Sunday, with Minnesota winning just 3-0 thanks to a late field goal. Justin Jefferson's departure with a chest injury had marred Minnesota's victory, after the receiver had just recovered from a hamstring injury that cost him seven weeks. Greg Joseph won his team's seventh game of the season after converting a 36-yard field goal with 1:57 seconds remaining.

Although some will argue that to play quarterback in the NFL, you must first be a rocket scientist, and processing data in split seconds is living proof. Dobbs spent time at NASA with a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Tennessee. However, he turned down a career in space for a career in aerospace and instead focused on becoming a shooting star in the NFL. Dobbs was drafted by Pittsburgh in 2017 and spent his career as a backup until joining the Tennessee Titans (his fifth team) last term.

Finally, in the game of the week, the Eagles and Cowboys treated us to one of the season's best matchups. The Dolphins could be doom for the Patriots' playoff hopes this week. The Jets and Seattle are the visitors in a must-win game for both teams. Four different NFC franchises could have a destiny, according to Washington. Buffalo and Cincinnati are locked in a spectacular quarterback battle. Carolina and Tampa Bay will either determine the NFC South or prolong their drudge to a crown, or both remain undecided in our game of the week.

Peter CARLINE AT THE TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR STADIUM: Once more, the offense spluttered in the red zone, the defense struggled against the run, and the win owed a lot to special teams, with kicker Greg Joseph scoring five field goals and punter Ryan Wright converted on fourth down for a fake punt-pass. But Justin Jefferson, the best wide receiver on record, did not get the ball. Jefferson had just 64 yards from nine receptions in his last two games, but after quarterback Kirk Cousins found him on the first pass of the day, he won his personal match against Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore.
