After claiming that Ball would have to cover the 'LF' tattoo on his neck just below his left air, the NBA had originally ruled that the tattoo would have to be covered over his head just below his left air, despite the league's ban on visible commercial logos. Ball's vibrant red 'LF' tattoo depicts his middle name, 'LaFrance,' which also refers to his personal clothing brand.

According to The Athletic, the Charlotte Hornets have been dealt another injury blast this season, forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is expected to miss 4-6 weeks due to a hand injury. Oubre has been suffering from the effects of a torn ligament injury in his left hand this season, and he is expected to have surgery to address the problem. Since recovering from the injury to his shooting hand the first week of the season, Oubre was averaging 20.2 points per game this season. He has also averaged 7.8 assists, six rebounds, and 1.3 steals.

P.J. : The Charlotte Hornets defeated Stephen Curry's annual homecoming game with a 121-113 overtime victory over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night, with John Curry scoring 31 points and Gordon Hayward 23. Even playing without LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier, Kelly Oubre Jr. added 18 points as the Hornets defeated the Warriors for their fourth straight year at the Spectrum Center in Curry's hometown. Curry had 31 points and 11 rebounds to propel the Warriors, but the Warriors were denied a close 3-pointer at the end of regulation that would have decided the game. In overtime, he also air-balled a 3 and finished 3 of 13 from outside the arc.
