The home (exterior of the house and one of the bedrooms pictured below) is one of 13 former Ministry of Defence buildings (pictured top right and bottom left) that formed RAF Graveley, home to the legendary 35 Squadron Pathfinder Force in World War II. Since being built more than 80 years ago, the buildings, which include a dance hall where a major band leader reportedly appeared, have been largely unchanged. They also include the old sergent's mess, cinema, kitchens, classrooms, and sick quarters. Six concrete blast shelters and some timber garden sheds are also available. In Graveley, Cambridgeshire, the buildings are now being sold along with a 1960s house and five acres of land (shown as a heavy bomber).

This was the first time an RAF veteran took to the dancefloor at the reopening of the nightclub where he met his late wife 74 years ago (right). Kevin Topham, from Edingley, Nottinghamshire, first set eyes on his pending wife Molly (inset) in 1949 at the Corn Exchange in Newark, which has since been dubbed Club X. The couple married three years later and were married for 66 years before Moly unfortunately passed away in 2018. Donna Harvey, Kevin's carer, outlined in recent years how the veteran will remember his good times at the club whenever they drove to go to doctor's appointments or visit relatives. Donna (left) told BBC News how she begged the owners for a dance on opening night when they discovered the club was reopening for the first time in ten years.

The Virginia school has been branded RACIST by the state's DA as he starts an investigation into the admission of students to the college prep program

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 10, 2023
On Thursday, Jason Miyares, the attorney general for Virginia, wrote to Cooper Middle School, saying, "Please refrain and desist the unlawful practice of soliciting and selecting applicants to the College Partnership Program based on race, color, and national origin.' The saga began on March 1, when the school sent an email to eighth grade parents asking if their children would benefit from a program to support them with college admissions. The email, which was sent around March 1, said the course was only open to black or Hispanic students (an excerpt from the email is shown above). The school then reported that the program was open to all, but that no mention of white or Asian students was provided, sparking accusations of the district attempting to exclude them by stealth.

For students who are applying for the college preparation program, the Woke Virginia school has barred white and Asian students

Parents of eighth grade students at Cooper Middle School in McLean, Virginia, have been invited to enroll their children in college preparation classes, but not if they are white or Asian. Fairfax County Public Schools, which includes Cooper Middle, have been under scrutiny by the state Attorney General for suspected discrimination against Asian students applying for enrollment in Thomas Jefferson High School, the county's prestigious STEM school. New allegations of discrimination have surfaced last month, with the offering of the invitation to black and Hispanic students. According to Fairfax Times, one father, Glenn Miller, an advocate, told Fairfax Times that the scheme was flawed. 'This scheme refuses students based on race, and it seems to be in direct violation of the school district's own anti-discrimination policy,' he said.
