Top Republican James Comer has demanded information on why Google and Facebook 's search options were 'potentially censored' in their results for the Trump assassination attempt. After shots were fired at Trump on July 13, Google users reported that autocompleted search prompts produced results for failed assassination attempts of former Presidents, including Harry Truman, Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan-or even assassinations of historical figures such as Archduke Franz Ferdinand - but did not auto-generate the attempt on Trump's life. In a letter to Google, the Kentucky Republican thanked the company for being cooperative and said it had offered a staff-level briefing last week, where Google said that auto-complete results omitted the Trump assassination attempt as a 'safety protocol concerning predicted assassination attempts of current political leaders.'

The Iowa caucuses will be held on Monday. The caucuses have been the country's first presidential primary since 1972. Although Republicans and Democrats count their caucus findings differently, both Republicans and Democrats track their caucuses results differently, but both are meetings that electors must attend in-person. But how many times have they predicted the eventual White House winner?

The statement, which was sent to reporters on Friday, came following the Florida governor's appearance in Iowa on Friday and clarifies DeSantis' previously shrouded stance on the somewhat controversial issue. DeSantis said he had 'already [promised a Trump pardon] long ago] when confronted with the question in Jasper County on Friday.' Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, who pardoned his predecessor in 1974 for offending the country's highest interests, were then compared to the one that occurred just over a half-century ago.
