SIR CLIVE WOODWARD: Jamie is a good pick as captain, but George allowed him to finish the matches

SIR CLIVE WOODWARD: This is the first thing I want to say is congratulations to Jamie George for being crowned England captain. I can see why they've chosen him. He's clearly a good communicator, a good whistle, and, most important, a superb player. He has also been England's most consistent performer during a challenging period, superbly controls the referee, and is the best player in his position. All major ticks on my captaincy checklist are checked. George has also been an unofficial spokesperson for the overseas playing rules and centralized labour, which is not by chance.

England's Rugby World Cup-winning side of 2003 was reunited on Wednesday in London, 20 years after the nation's historic victory over Australia. After a Jonny Wilkinson drop goal against George Gregan's Australia, Sir Clive Woodward's England lifted the William Webb Ellis trophy for the first - and so far only in 2003. Woodward's team is still the only northern hemisphere team to win the World Cup, with the other nine tournaments won by South Africa (four), New Zealand (three), and Australia (two).

Christopher Coe, a former Sydney private schoolboy and international financier, died in London at the age of 39, according to reports, after falling to his death from a building. Christopher is the eldest son of Australian businessman David Coe, who died suddenly of a heart attack on a ski trip in Colorado ten years ago at the age of 58. Chris Coe, like his charismatic father, whose Sydney funeral in 2013 was attended by film and rock stars as well as Australia's economic, sporting, and political elite, was popular and well-liked.

SIR CLIVE WOODWARD: What a hit! I've seen some great tackles in rugby over the years, but Adam Hadwin's security guard on golfer Adam Hadwin is right up there. The technique is spot on. He leads Hadwin's head on the right track and pulls him into the contest.

Despite the World Cup being less than a year away, the Wallabies are yet to decide on a halves combination, but Tate McDermott (main) is expected to get another crack, and it will be anything but traditional. The 24-year-old scrumhalf has played for Sevens before, and he has inherited a lot of the same characteristics to the Wallabies, something coach Dave Rennie (inset) is keen to exploit.

He was accused of "killing a tiny piece of rugby's soul" by a violent dive against South Africa. The Wallabies will now experience the full scream of the one-eyed Kiwi crowd on Saturday at Eden Park, and Australian Prime Minister Tim Horan has some sage advice on dealing with being public enemy No. 1.

Mark Ella, the Australian rugby great, has sarcastically stated that whoever has half a brain knows' the Wallabies will not defeat the All Blacks in the Bledisloe Cup. The first test takes place in Melbourne on Thursday night, with the Wallabies last hoisting the coveted trophy in 2002.
David Campese, the Wallabies' legend, calls the rugby union "a joke," and the figures confirm he is correct

Campese (inset), one of the game's most exciting ball runners, says today's rugby is a 'farce' that has been robbed of the sport by a never-ending sequence of nitpicking penalties. Compares August's first Wallabies vs. Argentina match (right) with a dramatic Aussie victory over the All Blacks in 2002 (right) shows that he's justified in slamming the sport as a joke.
