The announcement comes as lucrative stock trades by lawmakers have been under  more scrutiny as over $1 billion in trades have been made in 2024 alone. Though there are some laws in place to restrict members from trading on their inside knowledge in Congress, critics say that doesn't always happen.

Senators want to get taxpayers out of the bill for missing Biden bureaucrats. To prevent wasting over $5 billion on empty offices, senators need to get federal telework policies more standardized

After it was previously revealed that the majority of government headquarters are mostly empty, a new bill introduced Wednesday by a bipartisan coalition group of senators aims to gather data on how federal television work affects agency results. Sens. On Wednesday, Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, and Gary Peters, D-Mich., introduced the 'Telework Transparency Act of 2024.' It requires federal departments to publicly disclose their telework policies, will introduce a system to monitor employee use of telework, and will require audits and performance evaluations of remote employees. The bill follows the release of a bombshell study from the Government Accountability Office (GAO), which revealed that no federal department had more than 5 percent occupancy between January and March 2023. That's a surprising figure considering how federal departments invest over $2 billion a year to operate and maintain federal office buildings - as well as over $5 billion annually in leases. Americans have been on hold for far too long, while bureaucrats phone it in,' Ernst said in a tweet announcing the bill.' Since 'temporary' telework policies went into place over four years ago,' the remote lifestyle has come at the expense of the people federal departments are supposed to serve.'

'Hold On, I'm Coming,' is the phrase that a female fan wearing teal is handed both the pen and hat from a male attendee. In one of his most popular 'Make America Great Again' caps, the 45th president greets both before waving at the fan and then autographing the hat. The former chief then tosses both pen and hat to the fan, who is unable to locate them by herself.
