Hiddink was part of the coaching staff for two friendlies against New Zealand in September, but wanted to emphasize that it is still Arnold who is calling the shots these days.

The company, which also invests in the San Francisco 49ers, now holds a 59% interest in the English soccer team. However, it is expected to increase its share to a majority takeover as it has the option to buy out Andrea Radrizzani, the majority shareholder, in January 2024. According to US banking reports, the investment group has made more strides in recent weeks to ensure the correct funding to buy out Radrizzani. Although the option to buy the Italian out isn't available until January 2024, it is believed that the American shareholders might move as soon as the season comes to an end.
