In a tweet, Dean, 26, said, 'I want to apologise to the many people I have hurt and to my mother who has stood by me.' During his most recent court appearance, Dean turned to opioids at the age of 14 to cope with a horrific school experience, and this led to a life of substance abuse, which has seen him homeless and in and out of jail.

Felix Dean was sentenced to prison in Waverley, Sydney, for common assault after grabbing the arm of a friend's father and demanding the cash on October 21 last year. Dean, who was homeless at the time of the assault, was also jailed for breaching a community correction order. He was arrested for kicking a police officer during lockdown and stealing an iPhone from a store employee, according to the order. However, after his convictions were reversibly reduced, he would not go to prison, and the judge gave him waivers for his mental stability issues and his homeless history.
