After the FBI caught her through DNA, a man who stalked CSI Miami actress Eva LaRue for more than a decade was sentenced to jail last week. According to a Department of Justice press release, James David Rogers, 58, of Heath, Ohio, was sentenced to 40 months in federal jail on Thursday. Rogers sent around 37 handwritten and typed letters from March 2007 to LaRue's California home, in which he assaulted both LaRue and her daughter. When the first letter arrived at her house in 2007, LaRue, 55, an actress also known for her appearance on 'All My Children,' was midway through her second full season on 'CSI: Miami.' Many more will be followed over the next 12 years. According to a federal indictment of Rogers in 2019, 'I am going to f**king stalk you until the day you die.' "I can't" find you in the world.' In another letter, the stalker threatened to rape and impregnate LaRue's daughter. Each letter was signed "Freddie Krueger," the fictional serial killer from the horror film series 'A Nightmare on Elm Street.'
