Mets broadcaster Gary Cohen blasted the Marlins on Wednesday night after the visitors failed to keep track of the outs - and let a potentially dangerous throw fly in the process. In the bottom of the third inning, Francisco Alvarez grounded out with two outs and a runner on first, ending the inning as Miami forced an out at second base. But Marlins second baseman Otto Lopez apparently didn't realize his team had reached three outs as he fired the ball towards first base after catching a throw from teammate Emmanuel Rivera.

As New York's air quality index reaches a 185 rating due to smoke overtaking the sky as a result of Canadian wildfires, the Yankees took the field in potentially volatile weather. On Tuesday, thick smoke from the north descended on New York City, with an orange glow hanging above the iconic skyline, covering the Statue of Liberty's famed monuments. The Bronx was no exception, as the sky over Yankee Stadium glowed a mix of orange and dark grey.
