Tottenham defender Emerson Royal has completed a £15m transfer to AC Milan after signing a four-year deal with the Italian giant that ends his spell in the Premier League. The deal will also include an option of a further 12 months as Royal departs the Premier League following a mixed time in England's top-flight.

However, things came crashing down in one of the most bizarre and chaotic Premier League games of all-time when they lost 4-1 to Chelsea at the start of November having been reduced to nine men.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is looking to build on last season's fifth-placed finish, in which he secured Europa League football, and is now planning a massive overhaul in personnel. He has said 'change has to happen', if the north London club are going to be able to compete across all fronts next season, including a top-four spot in the Premier League - and a return to the Champions League.

The football 'fan' who invaded the pitch as Tottenham gave their Aussie fans a treat on Tuesday night took the bizarre step of recording himself during the illegal act - then revealed a surprising fact about how the authorities are dealing with him.

Ange Postecoglou defended his Tottenham side after they fell to a fourth successive defeat on an afternoon where two of his players were involved in a bust-up on the pitch. With Tottenham trailing 2-0 at half-time, Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal broke into an argument in the middle of the pitch and came face-to-face before goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario had to separate the two defenders. 'They care. They are not going to just be happy with the current situation,' Postecoglou insisted. 'Because they care, they want to improve. There is nothing wrong with that as long as it stays constructive. They want to change and the situation and not just accept it,' added the Spurs boss.

JOE BERNSTEIN AT ANFIELD: Mo Salah returned with a goal and assist before Liverpool held off an unexpected Tottenham comeback in Jurgen Klopp's penultimate game at Anfield. Liverpool were in rampant form and Spurs shambolic in the first hour as Klopp's side raced into a 4-0 lead. But the arrival of substitute Richarlison helped the visitors pull a couple of goals back to provide some late jeopardy. All eyes were on Salah before kick off after he was restored to Klopp's starting line-up after their bust-up at West Ham last weekend.

Since being pulled out of the game, the 22-year-old seemed to have sustained a hamstring injury and was commiserated by Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou.

After seeing their £20 million bid for the Brazilian rejected by Tottenham Hotspur, Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr has apparently found a backup to Emerson Royal. The Riyadh-based club is looking for reinforcements this month in the hopes of catching Al-Hilal at the top of the standings in the second half of the season. The Al-Nassr team, led by the league's top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo, was turned down in their attempts to capture the 25-year-old, who has played a small part in Ange Postecoglou's side this season.

Throughout 2023-24, the north London side has been plagued with injuries, and the queen has, on more than one occasion, stepped up when called upon.

Since arriving on loan from Juventus in 2022, the Swedish midfielder has scored 12 times for Spurs in 67 appearances. He has been instrumental to Tottenham's recent good form, which keeps them three points off second place at 23 years old. He has also fondly of playing under Ange Postecoglou, adding that his style of play suits the forward. However, it seems that not all is settled in the team's administration after he revealed that Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal used to go toe-to-toe on Whatsapp.

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly set to compete with Manchester United for the January transfer of Nice central defender Jean-Clair Todobo. In Ligue 1, the French national has been a central part of a Nice defense that has conceded only four goals in 13 games this season. Nice's solid defensive record has pushed the team to finish second in the table, just one point behind league champions Paris Saint Germain.
