Downton Abbey star Elizabeth McGovern looked worlds away from her glamours ITV character while filming new TV show The Talamasca at a cemetery on Friday. The actress, 63, who plays Cora Crawley in the beloved period drama, wore her natural silver locks loose and wrapped up from the cold in a black trench for the tense scenes alongside co-star Nicholas Denton. Elizabeth could be seen making her way between the headstones for the dramatic drama which serves as part of AMC's Anne Rice Immortal Universe alongside Interview With The Vampire and Mayfair Witches. 

A Downton Abbey star looked unrecognisable as they filmed their new TV show The Talamasca in Liverpool on Monday. The actress, 63, looked worlds away from her polished self on the period drama as they shot tense scenes.  She was pictured alongside Nicholas Denton in a scene set in New York's Central Park but actually filmed in Sefton Park in Liverpool. 

Michelle Dockery and Laura Carmichael dressed to impress as they shot scenes for the highly-anticipated third film at Ripon Racecourse in north Yorkshire on Monday. The actresses, who play who play Lady Mary Crawley and Lady Edith Crawley respectively, were spotted on set in their race day finery. Michelle, 42, cut a chic figure in a navy lace dress which she wore with a matching hat, while Laura, 37, looked elegant in a pale pink ensemble.

The release date for the third Downton Abbey film has been revealed as filming continues in Yorkshire. The new movie will be released worldwide on September 12, 2025, with Universal Pictures UK confirming the news on Instagram. The caption read: 'A new motion picture event. The third film in the beloved #DowntonAbbey franchise will be released only in cinemas September 12, 2025.'

The cast of Downton Abbey looked in high spirits as they reunited on Thursday to film the hotly-anticipated third film in the series.  Michelle Dockery was among the show's stars that were seen on set at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate as work on the movie finally kicked off.  The British actress, 42, got back into character as Lady Crawley as she modelled a brown tweed maxi skirt with a matching longline skirt and a white ruffled blouse.

A huge star will be reportedly 'be missing' from the upcoming Downton Abbey film as the period drama undergoes a cast shake-up. According to a new report, the star won't feature in the third and final instalment due to other commitments. The upcoming sequel is said to be beginning filming in summer, set for an international release in 2025.

The ITV drama series debuted in 2010 and ran until 2015, with the first of the two films being released in 2019. However, just weeks after it was revealed that there would be a seventh series of the show after eight years, The Sun has announced that filming on a third film is also scheduled to begin. The same cast and behind-scenes crew are expected to return to Highclere Castle, Hampshire, where the new film will begin from where the second ended - in the late 1920s. The film, produced by Carnival Films, will see the complete cast revival, which is something that had been a logistical challenge due to its size.

Although it is unknown if any of them have signed up, chiefs are said to have been 'thrilled' with their casting.
