Retard's oldest weapon manufacturer Remington in the United States would close its New York plant this month after 200 and relocate operations to Georgia

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 6, 2024
Remington, the country's oldest firearms manufacturer, has announced that it will close its huge firearms factory in Ilion, New York, and relocate to Georgia, leaving whole families without employment. Eliphalet Remington created his first rifle barrel in the village of Ilion in 1816, and his company grew to a 1 million square foot factory with thousands of employees over the next two decades. The plant has long been the town's most prominent employer, with a population of just 7,600 people. Mayor John Stephens has been worried about the future of Ilion.

As the country's oldest weapons manufacturer Remington's factories shuts down, a historic New York village that made weapons for 200 years is 'losing its soul.'

RemArms, the firearms manufacturer, Remington, declared in December that they would be closing the plant and moving their operations to Georgia, leaving 270 people in need. The plant and local businesses are expected to lose $1 million in income, according to Iliot Mayor John Stephens, who said the plant and local businesses would be a'severe financial blow.'
