Geraint Thomas' Olympic career is over after he missed out on selection for a fifth Games. 'I'd like to tell the fans that they should enjoy the sport and be able to applaud with us without standing on the road or pouring beers on us,' Vingegaard said. 'Please, just enjoy the race.' With the race coming up to its final week, the Danish rider leads Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia by only ten seconds. The incident, which involved about two dozen riders, resulted in appeals from several teams on the Tour.
