Edward Olivares, a left fielder for Kansas City, made quite the splash on Sunday when the ball broke the outfield scoreboard. In the eighth inning of Kansas City's 3-2 victory over Washington, Olivares hit a 452-foot solo homer, destroying a scoreboard reading 'Welcome to the City.' at Kaufmann Stadium. On the left side of the scoreboard, the massive drive blackened a small strip, and no smoke was seen from the area immediately after.
