Brian Kelly was livid with himself and his team after LSU blew a late lead to USC on Sunday night in a critical early-season matchup between nationally ranked teams. Despite just opening the college football season, Kelly knows a win over the Trojans would have looked pristine on the Tigers' College Football Playoff resume. Instead of having a huge boost for the first 12-team playoff, blowing a 4-point lead in the final minutes of its season opener will be used against LSU when making those championship-tournament arguments, and Kelly knows it.
