The Chiefs had to postpone OTA practice earlier in the day when defensive lineman Thompson had a seizure in a special teams meeting and went into cardiac arrest. With Thompson now in a stable condition in hospital, according to NFL network reporter Tom Pelissero, his teammates' charity event went ahead. Reid and Smith hosted the second annual Kansas City charity softball game, which was formerly organized by Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who was traded to the Buffalo Bills this offseason. Their Chiefs teammates turned up at Legends Field, where the Kansas City Monarchs play, to show their support.

Travis Kelce was stunned when he jolted across the screen during the newest episode of the 'New Heights' podcast, leaving the Chief stunned at his size. Travis was discussing how much he likes Chiefs teammate Drue Tranquill, one of the Kelce family's two gargantuan dogs started barking right off screen, where Jason was sitting to record the episode.

Drue Tranquill of Kansas City published a text chat with head coach Andy Reid shortly before he signed with the franchise, pledging a trip to the Super Bowl together. The screenshot only shows portions of three messages that have no exact date. After four seasons with the AFC West rival Chargers, Tranquill did sign a deal with the Chiefs. Tranquill will play in his first Super Bowl on February 11, a day Reid remembers less than a year after signing with Kansas City.

Drue Tranquill, Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs colleague, believes the NFL star and Taylor Swift's "might be in love." Swift and Kelce were out in late September for the first time when the singer attended Arrowhead Stadium to cheer Kelce and the Chiefs against the Chicago Bears. Since then, she has been to 11 Chiefs games and visited his parents on the way. Last Sunday, she met his brother Jason for the first time, while Travis travelled to Argentina last week to see her Eras Show in South America.
