Daniel Craig groaned 'oh please!' when he was asked about a future gay James Bond while promoting his latest movie Queer. On Tuesday, the star's historical romance film Queer, which he co-leads with Drew Starkey, premiered at the Venice Film Festival. Directed by Luca Guadagnino, who also directed Challengers and Call Me By Your Name, Queer tells the story of drug-addict William Lee (Daniel) who pursues a much-younger drug addict, Eugene Allerton (Drew). Following Daniel's admission that he and Drew worked hard to make their love scenes realistic , Daniel was asked if there was any chance his infamous spy character could be gay, too. Reacting to this on Wednesday, GMB entertainment reporter Richard Arnold asked: 'As long as you can get the mission done, does it matter?'

Daniel Craig appeared in high spirits on Tuesday as he attended the photocall for his new film Queer during the annual Venice Film Festival. The actor, 56, was seen larking around with his co-star Drew Starkey, 30, on the carpet as they promoted the same-sex romance movie in which they play lovers.  Dressed in a crisp white shirt and jeans, Daniel - who has been tipped for Oscars success thanks to his role - beamed for the cameras before donning black sunglasses to pose with his other co-stars and the film's director Luca Guadagnino. The photocall comes as Daniel spoke about the frank gay love scenes in his new film Queer, telling the Venice Film Festival: 'We just wanted to make it as touching and as real and as natural as we could.'
