Days of Our Lives star Drake Hogestyn's death certificate has been released - 11 days after his passing from pancreatic cancer the day before his 71st birthday. The LA Medical Examiner's report states pancreatic cancer was the John Black actor's immediate cause of death, with o ther significant conditions contributing to his death included vomiting, dehydration, and whole-body toxicity.

The late Drake Hogestyn's final appearance in Days of Our Lives already aired last month prior to his passing. The actor, who was known for portraying John Black in the long-running soap opera, made his final appearance in the September 9 episode. Unbeknownst to viewers, that was his last appearance on TV before he passed away at the age of 70 after a battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, just one day before his 71st birthday.

Drake Hogestyn fans mourned the loss of the star following his death at age 70. Taking to X, numerous fans shared memories watching the actor portray John Black on Days of Our Lives. 'Just heard about Drake Hogestyn's passing. I used to watch Days of Our Lives all the time in middle through high school,' one fan tweeted. 

The soap star's passing was announced by the show's social media account Saturday night.
