Following the death of his father, billionaire inventor Sir James Dyson (left) has donated £35 million to his former school. The 76-year-old entrepreneur attended Gresham's School (right) in Holt Norfolk, but tragedy struck when his father, Alec Dyson, a Classics tutor at the school, died of cancer at the age of 43 in 1956. Sir James said Logie Bruce-Lockhart, the school's then-headmaster, encouraged him and his brother to continue their education with a bursary. His gift will fund a prep school with a new building that includes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) centers for students aged seven to 13.
